LETS KICK OFF THE NEW YEAR WITH A NEW LOCATION.....

I have been extremely busy working on numerous films but now with the new year I want to start the year right by having a huge meetup to kick of the new year. Although we will keep the meetings in the same format as before, we will have a new location...Sun Ray Grill. We will be including guest speakers and special new ideas at the meetings. We will also include a part of the meeting specifically for creating some projects from within our group. We are reinventing our group for the new year. Please come to the meeting with all of your ideas of how to make Louisiana Produces better for you.

THE MEETING STARTS PROMPTLY AT 7 PM AND ENDS AT 9 PM BUT WE WILL BE THERE EARLY AT 6 PM TO EAT BEFORE THE MEETING. EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO COME AND EAT WITH ME AND MY FAMILY AT THIS TIME.

This meeting is dedicated to disseminating information on the industry as a whole. What productions are in the state, who is hiring, what government is doing to protect our industry and incentives?

The first part of the meeting will be distribution of this information so bring your notepads and any info you may have.

The second part is pure networking...grab your resumes, headshots and join us! In addition, we break up into networking groups at the end of the meeting.

These networking groups consist of:

Cast Group - For actors and extras to share the inside scoop on who is hiring and how to improve your craft.

Crew Group - For crew to discuss the needs specific to crew, how to interface with unions and how to find the jobs on upcoming productions.

Filmmakers Group - For filmmakers and aspiring filmmakers to discuss ideas and ways to hone their craft and help nurture more indigenous projects.

We highly encourage you to attend these meetings and participate in the networking groups.

Remember to check out the message boards in between meetings as they not only contain vital industry information, but are also an excellent way to get important questions answered quickly by our best brightest!
